The existing footpath that runs down the pond side of All Saints Weston church has been well used by people living in Weston Green and those visiting our parish for over 70 years. It now needs replacing. Over 1000 people visit our grounds each week and we want to offer anyone associated with the church an opportunity to leave their own special mark, in stone, on a new pathway.
Every brick of the new path will be engraved with the name of a person or place that’s been important to someone in our community. But, it will be more than just a list of names: the path will serve as a historical record, a source of inspiration, a memory bank and a place of reflection for anyone working, living or visiting our parish. Ultimately it will weave the people from our village together within the sacred grounds of All Saints Weston and demonstrate that we recognise the stuff that is important in all our lives.
Full details are in the downloadable brochure and form below
Work on the church drains has delayed the laying of the path until now but works have now been completed and we anticipate that the path will be laid in the spring once he weather has improved. Anyone contemplating sponsoring a brick should submit completed forms by Sunday 24th February to be included in this phase of the path.
